Nestled in the lush, emerald hinterland of Byron Bay and cradled at the foot of Koonyum Range and of course the Mount Chincogan vista.... Mullumbimby is a place where magic seemingly hangs in the air. It’s a vibrant, eclectic community that feels like stepping into a different world—one where creativity runs wild and the spirit of independence is celebrated. Here, farmers and artisans, dreamers and doers mingle in a kaleidoscope of colour and sound, each adding their own special touch to our enchanting town.
Once renowned for its bananas, sugar cane, and dairy farms, Mullumbimby still whispers stories of its agricultural roots, now infused with a modern twist of small gardens bursting with herbs and blooms. The town’s charm is further bolstered by notable figures like Iggy Azalea and Petria Thomas, whose roots run deep here. And amidst the beauty, lively debates and passionate movements—such as anti-vaccination and anti-5G activism—show the spirited heart of some of the diverse Mullumbimby community.
