Our 10 Faves - Brunswick Picture House

Step back in time at the Brunswick Picture House—a beloved local cinema where classic films are screened in a nostalgic, whimsical setting. The vintage charm, complete with art deco details and cozy seats, makes every visit feel like a special occasion. The Brunswick Picture House is located in nearby Brunswick Heads Northern NSW - not to be confused with the Brunswick area in Victoria.  More information about Brunswick Picture House can be found here.

Enjoy a movie under the glow of retro lighting, perhaps with a popcorn in hand, as stories unfold on the big screen. It’s a community hub that celebrates the magic of film, art, performance and shared experiences.

After laying dormant for over 30 years, the curtains lifted on this old theatre in March 2016 and it began a new lease on life, lovingly restored by the creative team behind the award-winning, internationally-acclaimed circus/cabaret sensation “La Soirée.”

Having survived the wreckers’ ball and the ravages of time, this iconic building’s revival has set the stage for a vibrant and charismatic mix of film, circus, cabaret, comedy, live music and family-friendly entertainment. In the last eight years, the Brunswick Picture House has established itself as a local landmark for the community.  Definately worth a visit when you are in the area.
