Apparently I’m the last person in the known universe to discover garment steamers.
While we’re busy personalising our 2026 Red Nose Australia Walk to Remember T-shirts at Above Byron Printing, I’ve been battling the usual crease lines before photographing and packing shirts. Unfortunately we aren't able to de-crease ( is that a word? ) every shirt yet do our best to de-crease as many as we can.
My previous solution? Drag out the iron, ironing board, untangle cords and carefully avoid the printing.
Then I discovered the handheld garment steamer.
Where has this thing been all my life?
A few quick passes and our personalised Walk to Remember shirts are looking neat, ready to photograph and pack — without turning the workroom into an ironing station.
These shirts are always incredibly meaningful to us. Each personalised name or message represents a much-loved baby or child being remembered by their family, and we’re always proud to support Red Nose Australia’s Walk to Remember events across Australia.
So apparently 2026 is not only another year of printing beautiful remembrance shirts to support the Red Nose Community and donate to help with their funding for support yet also it’s also the year I finally discovered steam.
Better late than never.... What other marvels of the modern world am I missing out on??
