Hopefully I won't get hate from the locals for this one... once a sleepy coastal fishing village Brunswick Heads, located on the opposite side of the Pacific Highway to Mullumbimby is quite often bustling and bursting at the seams so much you can't get a park and end up hangry trying to find one.. or maybe that is just me? More information about accomodation, things to see and all things Bruns can be found here on their website.
Discover the laid-back charm of Brunswick Heads with a visit to not only the beautiful beaches yet also Torakina for the river swimming which was a favourite place to take our boys when they were young. Meander along the river, watch the surfers dance on the waves, and enjoy fresh seafood at the local markets plus schedule in a meal at one of the many excellent eateries. It’s a place where time slows down and good vibes flow.
The town’s whimsical mix of vintage shops, renown bakery, and lush parks makes it a perfect day-trip destination. Don’t forget to paddleboard or hire a boat or stand up paddleboard from the pirate ship (you'll know what I mean when you get there) for a different perspective on this tranquil paradise.
World class acts also often visit the famous Bruns Pub ( Brunswick Heads Hotel) don't let the name fool you though as there is no longer accomodation yet great office spaces, oyster bar, specials on the daily - more information can be found here on their website.
